For the price of the Ryzen 3 3300x CPU + GPU, you could have used a Ryzen 5 8500G (with the iGPU) and gone with a single PCIe for expanded SATA ports.

This cannot beat a 7840hs. This is about the same as a 5800u. There is something wrong with your benchmark. It looks like you tdp limited the geekdom A8 or didnt bench at same settings. The gpu 780m in the A8 is much better than the 660m besides cpu much faster than the 6600. There is no fine tuning that can make an inferior cpu and gpu perform better unless it is not tested on equal grounds.

This is a great bang for the buck. I was looking at two mini pcs with the 7840HS CPU. The GMKtec Nucbox K6 and the Beelink SER7. I am looking to play older games and indies titles. The 8845HS is almost identical to a 7840HS with an NPU. AI seems the buzzword of the moment. This M6 gives me pause. It's optimized and finely tuned.

Amazing video, my Threadripper system died a few months back (PSU went out) and it had one of these cooling it since 2019. Never had any issues but I think doing some preventative maintenance shouldn't hurt. I ended up swapping out everything but the board on that PC so this cooler will go to a spare parts rig. Great video and I will make sure to reference it when I clean my own unit.👍

I found the statement surprising, that "most" ryzen Mainboards won't boot without a graphics card. All my servers in recent years were AM4, with standard consumer boards, and all booted just fine without GPU. Of course one was needed to be plugged in until the OS was installed, but after they ran just fine without any graphics.

What I really don't get here is why they didn't just set it up with 2x120W chargers, we've seen this already in the past with proprietary connectors, so why not here with type c? To be clear, I'm no master of electronics, maybe I'm missing some reason why this isn't feasible or something like that with type c, but I don't think that's the case, though please do correct me if I'm wrong. Sure, pioneering the first 180W type c charger is cool af, and presumably trying to make a 240W one as well, but if they had done it with 2x120W they could've saved a bunch of RnD money, production costs, whatever other expenses they might've had alongside it, and they could've also just made the GPU module have 2 ports on the back, one for display one for power, so you don't have to waste one of your connectors just for GPU power. Would've also made more sense for people upgrading, you could just an extra 120W charger + GPU module if you decide to get it, instead of now having to get another extra charger whenever we get one that can actually power the entire laptop, and making the old one effectively obsolete. I'm in batch 21 and I haven't even received mine yet, and I got it without the GPU or charger because neither seemed necessary to me, right now the GPU upgrade seems kind of unnecessary to me because in order to use it without draining your battery and potentially ending up with a power off if you leave it unattended for too long while running a task, you have to use efficiency modes or underclocking. I still love the company and will continue to support them however I can just because their mission aligns with my personal ideology, but this power issue kinda baffles me, it seems very shortsighted, and I really doubt we'll see a 240W charger any time soon due to the complexity involved in whatever current/voltage conversion has to go on in that brick, which will also undoubtedly be of questionable size.

Small powerful PSU equals heat and noise. No case can fix that. I was playing with small factor a lot and got tired. This fight has no sense.

The Multi Monitor Support of Apple is a bad joke... We tried to switch to Apple. But a 2016 Windows Laptop wipes the floor with our MacBook Pro M3 Pro in case of multimonitor support. I can't wrap my head around that... just sooo stupid. 9:18 my Lenovo Thinkpad drives 3 4k Monitors with 60Hz over 1 cable while charging @ 110Watts using the Lenovo Thunderbold 3 Dock Gen 2. But that thing just don't work with our Thunderbold 4 capable MacBook Pro .....

7:52 Make it or break it. Great test for all possibilities. 10:46 same same makes getting best stability when docking multiple displays. My only disappointment setups are forgotten, are app dependent and mostly will not recall audio to output.

That USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 is the differentiator. I wish to see actual tests demonstrating that port's performance. Given the deceptive front filter screen, I generally don't trust their marketing claims.

Just a few other notes I like to think about... you can find AMD with integrated graphics, but remember: a 5700G/5600G, however, they are PCI-E 3.0 Only (not 4.0) so you will cripple graphics card performance, SAS to SATA splitters not so much as many are perfectly fine in a PCI-E 3.0 slot of even 4X to handle SATA, which doesn't kick enough bandwidth. What you absolutely, positively must avoid if you choose a 5600G/5700G is a card like a 4060/4060TI that is configured to use only PCI-E 8 lanes. Because if you put an 8 line PCI-E 4.0 card into a PCI-E 3.0 slot, you get completely demolished for the performance.

This case is a downgrade from the N3 IMO. You had 8 hot swap drives on the N3, it supports full height cards...Even the N2 has more hot swap bays than this at 5. The N5 is the true upgrade. It supports full ATX boards with full height slots, has 8 hot swap bays and 4 fixed.
